Online Education Platform – Office 365
The setup of Office 365 has now taken place, and we will be using this as our online education platform should we have to isolate ‘class bubbles’. This means that children will be able to access our online education platform from home, and access lessons with their teacher. We will use this alongside other appropriate online platforms (Mathletics, myON, Tapestry etc.) to ensure children can access their curriculum from home. Teachers will be able to provide feedback through the appropriate channels to ensure children continue to make progress whilst working from home.
In the event that whole-class ‘bubbles’ have to isolate, or we have to lockdown, please ensure that you have read and understood the following policies before allowing your child to access their Office 365 account (as they apply to online learning from home):
In order to ensure online teaching sessions are of the highest quality, please also be aware that lessons will be recorded for monitoring purposes.
We will be providing paper-based learning, and online learning, please see below the intended timetable for each class:
Nursery Remote Learning Timetable
Reception Remote Learning Timetable
Year 1 Remote Learning Timetable
Year 2 Remote Learning Timetable
Year 3 Remote Learning Timetable
Year 4 Remote Learning Timetable
Year 5 Remote Learning Timetable
Year 6 Remote Learning Timetable
Each timetable is a provisional guide to show the intended plan, and in addition to this, class teachers would send out more detailed plans daily via Class Dojo. Please be reminded that teachers will not be able to read or answer messages outside of school hours.
If you have any questions, or don’t understand any aspect of the above policies, please get in touch with the relevant class teacher before giving consent for your child to use Office 365, as it will be your responsibility to ensure your child is following the acceptable use guidelines during this time.
Appendix 1 – Letter for Parents/Carers – Work Packs
In this pack you will find some basic items that you will need to complete home learning should your child be absent from school due to Covid-19 symptoms or isolating. Please do not use these items for any other purpose as we are unable to replace them. All learning must be completed every day your child is absent as they will NOT catch up on the work missed when they return.
You will need access to an electronic device in order to complete these tasks, such as a laptop, computer, iPad, tablet or mobile phone. If you would like to borrow a suitable device for the duration of your child’s absence, please contact the school office and we will endeavour to provide one. To access our online platforms, please get in touch with the relevant class teacher, should you need the login details. Please note, you may need to download the Seesaw / Tapestry (Early Years) app for your child to be able to log in.
