I have lived in West Cornforth all my life and, along with my two daughters and granddaughter, attended Cornforth schools. My previous experience of being a governor was when my daughters attended primary school.
My working life included working as an Electrical Engineer for British Coal and for some eighteen years as a Citizens Advice Bureau Manager and Management Consultant. I believe this experience has provided me with skills that will enhance the working of the Governing Body of the school. During this period I covered: chairing meetings, mergers, managing change, budgets and financial control, funding applications, recruitment and employment law and policies.
I am now retired from employment and welcome the opportunity to work with other governors to promote the school and ensure that the children attending the school receive the best education and attention they deserve.
